Effect of Several Herbicides and Their Application Method on Weed Control and Cabbage Yield

Abstract
This experiment was conducted to find out the effect of several herbicides on the cabbage yield and weed control.
The results are as follows:
1. After spraying herbicides, when the cabbages were planted in the field without removing the soil treated with herbicides, the cabbages were damaged seriously by Lorox, Afalon, Simazine and 2.4-D. But when the treated part is removed by 5§¯ (width and depth respectively), the damage to cabbages were decreased considerably.
2. The highest yields were produced in TOK water powder treatment, and followed by Machete Emulsion, Lasso Granular and Emulsion.
3. The best herbicide on weeding was TOK water powder and followed by Lorox, Afalon, Simazine, Lasso Granular and Emulsion.
4. Machete Granular, TOK Granular and MO Granular made little weed control, so the use of Granular in the field except Lasso Granular is not desirable.
5. Weed control of Lorox and Afalon is very good, but the damage to cabbages is severe. So they are not desirable for vegetables, especially for leaf vegetables.
